The problem that the writer raises is the reason why Nagari Batu Kambing is the place for detainees to be detained from various regions. This study aims to explain the reasons why the PRRI soldiers chose Nagari Batu Kambing as the place for PRRI detention and to explain the acts of violence committed by PRRI soldiers during their execution. This study uses the historical method which consists of four stages, namely: The first stage is collecting data from oral and written sources. This data was obtained through interviews with people living at that time and people who knew about the PRRI incident in Nagari Batu Kambing as well as books and journals related to this research. The second stage is source criticism, both internal and external. The third stage is the analysis and interpretation of the data. The fourth stage is to describe the research results in the form of scientific writing, namely thesis. The results showed that the choice of Nagari Batu Kambing as a place for detainees was because during the PRRI period it had started to flare up in various regions, of course there were those who were pro against PRRI and some were contra. Some people who oppose the PRRI army, some prefer to spy on the PRRI army so that people who claim the PRRI army become enemies of the PRRI army therefore the PRRI soldiers arrest and exile people who are pro to the central army in various areas, one of them namely Nagari Batu Kambing, the reason the PRRI soldiers chose Nagari Batu Kambing as a place of exile was because it was considered safe, and on the other hand the PRRI soldiers had begun to be pressed against attacks from the central army. The people who were arrested by the PRRI soldiers were people with communist ideals who spy on the movements of the PRRI soldiers. The end of PRRI in Nagari Batu Kambing was due to the fact that the center had already known the place of exile for the detainees, so the prison guards chose to flee to the forest. Keywords: PRRI, area and acts of violence Abstrak Skripsi ini mengkaji tentang Tindak kekerasan terhadap orang-orang yang pro tentara pusat masa PRRI di Nagari Batu Kambing Kabupaten Agam (1958-1961). Permasalahan yang penulis angkat adalah alasan kenapa pemilihan Nagari Batu Kambing sebagai tempat para tahanan ditahan dari berbagai daerah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan alasan tentara PRRI memilih Nagari Batu Kambing sebagai tempat tahanan PRRI dan untuk menjelaskan tindak kekerasan yang dilakukan oleh tentara PRRI waktu eksekusi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode sejarah yang terdiri atas empat tahap, yaitu: Tahap pertama, ialah mengumpulkan data dari sumber lisan dan tulisan. Data ini diperoleh melalui wawancara bersama orang-orang yang hidup di zaman itu dan orang-orang yang mengetahui tentang peristiwa PRRI di Nagari Batu Kambing serta buku-buku dan jurnal yang berhubungan
