APRIL 2023 ABSTRACT Parent-Teacher Association is a formal organization composed of parents, teachers and staff that is intended to facilitate parental participation in a school and the functions of this organization is of utmost importance to the effectiveness of administration of public secondary schools. This study investigated the factors of Parent-Teacher Association in the administration of public secondary schools in Ondo Central Senatorial District of Ondo State. The study adopted the descriptive survey design with administrative effectiveness as the dependent variable and three independent variables: (roles, leadership, and functionality of PTA). The study also used a self-developed Parent-Teacher Association Factors and Administration of Public Secondary School Questionnaire (PTAFAPSSQ) to obtain data from school administrators which includes the principals, vice principals and PTA executive members in selected public secondary schools in Ondo Central Senatorial District of Ondo State. The questionnaire was administered to 126 respondents (18 principals, 36 vice principals and 72 PTA executive members) and 123 questionnaires were retrieved, this returned a response rate of 97.6%.
