Busca-se elaborar um panorama das diferentes posições entre as quais se dividiram os historiadores diante desta questão, evocando as obras onde estes se colocaram diante do debate da cientificidade da História. O debate acerca da relação entre a historiografia e a interação entre objetividade e subjetividade também é apresentado, assim como a discussão acerca da possibilidade de que a História também se apresente como uma forma de arte. The aim is to elaborate an overview of the different positions between that divided historians on this issue, evoking the works where they have been placed in relation to the debate of the scientificity of history.
