ABSTRACT
This study aims to: 1) Describe the process of implementing video based learning media to
improve Indonesian listening skills in fifth grade students at SD Negeri 93 Marana located in
Bulukumba, (2) Describe the results of implementing video based learning media to improve
Indonesian listening skills in fifth grade students at SD Negeri 93 Marana Bulukumba. This type
of research is Classroom Action Research using the Kemmis and Mc Taggart models. The stages
carried out include four components including: planning, implementation, observation or
observation, and reflection. The subject of this research was class V of SD Negeri 93 Marana
Bulukumba which consisted of 9 students. This research was conducted in 2 cycles. Cycle I
consisted of 2 meetings, and cycle II consisted of 2 meetings. Data collection techniques used are:
observation techniques, interviews, documentation and tests. The results showed that using video
based learning media sourced from YouTube was able to improve the Indonesian listening skills
of fifth grade students at SD Negeri 93 Marana Bulukumba compared to before using learning
video media. This is based on an indication of an increase in the average score of listening to
Indonesian students in cycle I and cycle II. The results of the first cycle test showed a result of
65.41%, in the sufficient category, the results of this value had not yet reached the Minimum
Completeness Criteria (KKM) and the first cycle II meeting was 70.47%, this also had not reached
student learning completeness and was still in the sufficient category. But the students' listening
ability increased at the second meeting of cycle II with a value of 87.73%. The value of 87.73%
has reached the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) and has increased by 17.26%. It can be
concluded, with the application of video based learning media sourced from YouTube, it can
improve students' listening skills.

ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) Mendeskripsikan proses penerapan media pembelajaran
berbasis video untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menyimak bahasa Indonesia pada siswa kelas V
di SD Negeri 93 Marana yang terletak di Bulukumba, (2) Mendeskripsikan hasil penerapan media
pembelajaran berbasis video untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menyimak bahasa Indonesia pada
siswa kelas V di SD Negeri 93 Marana Bulukumba. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian
Tindakan Kelas (Classroom Action Research) dengan menggunakan model Kemmis dan Mc
Taggart. Tahapan-tahapan yang dilakukan meliputi empat komponen diantaranya:
perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan atau observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu
siswa kelas V SD Negeri 93 Marana Bulukumba yang terdiri atas 9 siswa. Penelitian ini
dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus. Siklus I terdiri atas 2 pertemuan, dan siklus II terdiri atas 2
pertemuan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah: teknik observasi, wawancara,
dokumentasi dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggunakan media
pembelajaran berbasis video yang bersumber dari YouTube mampu meningkatkan kemampuan
menyimak bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas V SD Negeri 93 Marana Bulukumba dibandingkan
