BACKGROUND OF THE PROBLEM The form of cockfighting games is a very popular form of game, so until now cockfighting still exists in the midst of society. The game connects between two chickens or also known as chicken fighting or cockfighting. The game of saving chickens is generally carried out between two roosters pitted in the arena or arena to determine one of the roosters as the winner, even to determine one of the winners it is not uncommon for one of the chickens to be pitted to death, but usually this cockfighting game is also synonymous with gambling. While we all know that gambling or "gambling" games are " (Ruslan et al., 2021) While gambling is also one of the social or social diseases that must be prevented or overcome because it is a bad act or behavior, in addition to damaging oneself and the environment in which it lives. Income or winnings from gambling games will also not be a blessing or last long, it will make him lazy so that it will damage his own personality. (David Balubun et al., 2019) The winnings generated from gambling will not last long, it will result in the destruction of the individual's character and will ruin his life. Usually for people who do directly or directly involved in cockfighting gambling cannot think rationally or positively, even will always think criminally because they always think about how to always win in cockfighting gambling and generally they are friends with the same community. Therefore, gambling is a social disease that has been going on for a long time, throughout human life. 3 In the provisions of Law Number 7 of 1974 concerning Gambling Penetration and Government Regulation Number 9 of 1981 concerning the implementation of Law Number 7 of 1974, states that in practice all forms of gambling must be overcome and fenced because it is a criminal offense. Any game, where the game gains an advantage on sheer luck, being proficient and trained includes also competitions or other games that are not competitions but have bets, this is as contained in the Penal Code on gambling. Although cockfighting gambling is not allowed and will be sanctioned, this game is still often carried out in the community, this gambling case is like what happened in the North Lampung Regional Police in the last 2 years. The issue to be discussed is how the Efforts of the North Lampung Regional Police to Eradicate Cockfighting and the Inhibiting Factors of the North Lampung Police to Eradicate Cockfighting. (David Balubun et al., 2019) II. RESEARCH METHODS Method is an absolute method or element in a study, because research provides guidelines for organizing and integrating knowledge.
