Kako: Fatigue Behavior of Al – 4wt%Cu / SiCP and Al - 4wt%Cu/ Al2O3P Composites 54 Fatigue Behavior of Al – 4wt%Cu / SiCP and Al - 4wt%Cu/ Al2O3P Composites Salim Aziz Kako Erbil Technical Institute, Erbil, Iraq Salm_zz@yahoo.com Abstract Aluminum – copper ( Al – 4wt%Cu ) alloy metal matrix composites MMCs reinforced with 0.5 ,1.0 ,1.5 % wt of both SiC and Al2O3 particles were fabricated by stir-casting .The effects of SiC and Al2O3 particles content on the fatigue behavior of the Al – 4wt%Cu unreinforced base alloy and the resulted composites were investigated. The results show that fatigue strengths of base alloy increased with increasing weight fractions of ceramic particles and the fatigue strength of MMCs reinforced with SiC particles is higher than that of reinforced with Al2O3 particles . Al2O3 وSiC ﻣﺪﻋﻤﺔ ﺑﺤﺒﯿﺒﺎت( Al + 4wt%Cu) ﺳﻠﻮك اﻟﻜﻠﻞ ﻟﻠﻤﻮاد اﻟﻤﺘﺮاﻛﺒﺔ ذات اﺳﺎس ﻣﻦ ﺳﺒﯿﻜﺔ ﺳﺎﻟﻢ ﻋﺰﯾﺰ ﻛﺎﻛﻮ اﻟﻤﻌﮭﺪ اﻟﻔﻨﻲ ارﺑﯿﻞ/ ﻣﺪرس ﻣﺴﺎﻋﺪ Salm_zz@yahoo.com اﻟﺨﻼﺻﺔ ﯾﮭﺪف اﻟﺒﺤﺚ اﻟﺤﺎﻟﻰ اﻟﻰ دراﺳﺔ ﺳﻠﻮك اﻟﻜﻠﻞ ﻟﺴﺒﯿﻜﺔ( Al + 4wt%Cu ) اﻟﻤﻘﻮاة ﺑﺪﻗﺎﺋﻖ ﻛﺎرﺑﯿﺪ اﻟﺴﻠﯿﻜ ﻮنSiC و د ﻗﺎﺋﻖ اﻻﻟﻮﻣﯿﻨﺎAl2O3 و ﺑﻨﺴﺐ وزﻧﯿﺔ ﻣﺨﺘﻠﻔﺔ) 0.5 , 1.0 , 1.5 طﺮﯾﻘﺔ اﻟﺴﺒﺎﻛﺔ ﺑﺎﻟﻤﺰج اﺳﺘﺨﺪﻣﺖ. %( stir –casting ﺑﻌﺪ ذﻟﻚ اﺟﺮﯾﺖ. ﻟﺘﺼﻨﯿﻊ اﻟﻤﻮاد اﻟﻤﺘﺮاﻛﺒﺔ، ﻓﺤﺺ اﻟﻜﻠﻞ ﻋﻠﻰ اﻟﻌﯿﻨﺎت اﻟﻘﯿﺎﺳﯿﺔ ﻟﻜﻞ ﻣﻦ ﺳﺒﯿﻜﺔ اﻻﺳﺎس و اظﮭﺮت ﻧﺘﺎﺋﺞ ﻓﺤﺺ. اﻟﻤﻮاد اﻟﻤﺘﺮاﻛﺒﺔ اﻟﻜﻠﻞ ان اﻟﻤﺎدة اﻟﻤﺘﺮاﻛﺒﺔ ﺗﻤﺘﻠﻚ ﻗﯿﻢ ﻣﻘﺎوﻣﺔ اﻟﻜﻼل اﻋﻠﻰ ﻣﻘﺎرﻧﺔ ﺑﺎﻟﺴﺒﯿﻜﺔ اﻻﺳﺎس اﻣﺎ ﺗﺄﺛﯿﺮ ﻧﻮﻋﯿﺔ اﻟﻤﺎدة اﻟﺴﯿﺮاﻣﯿﻜﯿﺔ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺗﻠﻚ اﻟﺨﺎﺻﯿﺔ ﻓﻘﺪ. و ﺗﺰداد ھﺬه اﻟﻘﯿﻢ ﻣﻊ زﯾﺎدة ﻧﺴﺐ دﻗﺎﺋﻖ اﻟﺴﯿﺮاﻣﯿﻜﯿﺔ اﻟﻤﻀﺎﻓﺔ ﻟﻮﺣﻆ زﯾﺎدة ﻣﻠﺤﻮظﺔ ﻓﻲ ﻗﯿﻢ ﻣﻘﺎوﻣﺔ اﻟﻜﻠﻞ ﻟﻠﻤﺎدة اﻟﻤﺘﺮاﻛﺒﺔ اﻟﻤﻘﻮاة ﺑ ﺪﻗﺎﺋﻖ ﻛﺎرﺑﯿﺪ اﻟﺴﻠﯿﻜﻮن ﻣﻘﺎرﻧﺔ ﻣﻊ اﻟﻤﺎدة اﻟﻤﺘﺮاﻛﺒﺔ . اﻟﻤﻘﻮاة ﺑﺪﻗﺎﺋﻖ اﻻﻟﻮﻣﯿﻨﺎ Received: 27 – 9 - 2010 Accepted: 15 – 2 - 2011
