He is an eminent crop nutrition and soil fertility expert; his micronutrient research is recognized globally and his farmer-friendly fertilizer use technologies are adopted by farmers widely. His recent R&D is on micronutrient biofortification of food grains to combat ‘hidden hunger’ in human populations.
