ABSTRACT This study examines an event of the struggle of the people of Musi Rawas during the Physical Revolution (1947-1949). This study aims to analyze the state of Musi Rawas during the physical revolution (1947-1949), and describe the struggle of the people and the traditional elite of Musi Rawas in guerrilla warfare. The method used in the study is a historical method with heuristic research steps, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. Since the beginning of the proclamation of Indonesian independence, the people of Musi Rawas have played an active role in the struggle for independence. The struggle in the form of resistance against the Netherlands is a continuation of the struggle that has been carried out before. During the war of independence the Dutch did not succeed in controlling the entire Musi Rawas area, due to various kinds of resistance carried out by all groups of the people of Musi Rawas, making it difficult for the Dutch troops to seize the Musi Rawas. KEYWORDS Struggle, Musi Rawas, Physical Revolution ABSTRAK Penelitian ini mengkaji mengenai peristiwa perjuangan rakyat Musi Rawas pada masa Revolusi Fisik (1947-1949). Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis keadaan Musi Rawas pada masa revolusi fisik (1947-1949), dan mendeskripsikan perjuangan rakyat dan elit tradisional Musi Rawas dalam perang gerilya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode historis dengan langkah penelitian heuristik, kritik, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Sejak awal peristiwa proklamasi kemerdekaan Indonesia, rakyat Musi Rawas telah berperan aktif dalam melakukan perjuangan membela kemerdekaan. Perjuangan tersebut berupa perlawanan menghadapi Belanda yang merupakan kelanjutan dari perjuangan yang telah dilakukan masa sebelumnya. Selama masa perang kemerdekaan itu Belanda tidak berhasil menguasai secara keseluruhan wilayah Musi Rawas, dikarenakan berbagai macam perlawanan yang dilakukan oleh seluruh golongan dari rakyat Musi Rawas sehingga membuat pasukan Belanda mengalami kesulitan dalam upaya merebut Musi Rawas.
