Henüz çok kısa bir süre yaşanmış olsa da, Koronavirüs salgınının Türkiye toplumu üzerindeki ilk etkileri klasik ve çağdaş bazı sosyoloji kuramlarının uygulama yoluyla test edilmesi açısından elverişli bir olanak yaratmıştır. Bu makalede, Koronavirüs salgının Türkiye toplumu üzerindeki ilk etkilerinin bazı sosyoloji teorileri açısından değerlendirilmesine yer verilmiştir. Bu etkiler sırasıyla şöyle vurgulanabilir: Birinci olarak Korona salgını, toplum yaşantısının maddi temellerinin düşünsel, ahlaksal ve diğer ideolojik üst yapı kurumlarına göre belirleyici niteliğini kanıtlamıştır. İkinci olarak Korona salgınının emek yoluyla geçinen toplum kesimlerini daha çok etkilemesi, sınıfsal eşitsizliklerin uygulamadaki sonuçları hakkında sosyoloji literatürüne yeni örnekler sunmuştur. Son olarak toplumu, dünyayı ve Türk modernleşmesinin başarısını geleneğin tutucu sınırları içinde değerlendiren sosyoloji kuramları uygulamada önemli bir eleştiri almıştır. Bu çalışma, söz konusu etkilerin ileri sürülmesine zemin hazırlayan bazı toplumsal olay örneklerine örneklerine ayrılmıştır. Abstract The most rational way to evaluate the present validity of sociology theories is to test them with real society life. Although the coronavirus outbreak has been experienced for a very short time, its initial effects on the Turkish society have created a convenient opportunity in terms of testing some classical and contemporary sociological theories. This study examines the initial effects of the coronavirus outbreak on the Turkish society in terms of some sociological theories. These effects can be highlighted as follows: First, coronavirus outbreak has proved the determinant character of the material foundations of social life in terms of intellectual, moral and other ideological superstructure institutions. Second, coronavirus outbreak has affected the segments of society that live on labor the most and this has provided new examples for the sociology literature in terms of consequences of class inequalities in practice. Last, the sociological theories that interpret the society, the world and the success of Turkish modernization within the conservative boundaries of tradition have been severely criticized in practice. This study discusses some examples of social events that have paved the way for these effects to be put forward.
