As reference antimicrobial agents Ampicillin, Ethambutol, Isoniazid and Fluconazole were used. Against A. baumannii all the tested extracts exhibited significant antibacterial activity with MIC values ranging from 31.25 to 62.5 µg/ml when compared to reference drug Ampicillin (MIC value: 125 µg/ml). Especially, the extract of seed pods of V. fuscatum subsp. fuscatum was found the most effective extract against A. baumannii (MIC value: 31.25 µg/ml).
