A pesquisa, numa perspectiva adventista, se justifica dada a diversidade de opiniões sobre o tema e a recente publicação de uma declaração sobre o assunto pela Igreja Adventista do Sétimo Dia (IASD). Para atingir os objetivos, esta pesquisa fará uma apresentação do histórico da discussão, e, em seguida, procederá à análise do texto bíblico. Com base nas evidências coletadas neste artigo, é possível concluir que o não nascido tem o status de um ser humano na Bíblia. Palavras-chave: Nascituro; Aborto; Antropologia Bíblica. THE STATUS OF THE UNBORN IN AN ADVENTIST PERSPECTIVE Abstract: This article intends, through the analysis of the biblical text in its original languages and a bibliographical research, to verify how the unborn are considered in the Bible. The survey, from an Adventist perspective, is justified given the diversity of opinions on the topic and the recent publication of a statement on the matter by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. To achieve the objectives, this research will present the history of the discussion, and then proceed with the analysis of the biblical text. Based on the evidence collected in this article, it is possible to conclude that the unborn have the status of a human being in the Bible.
