In this situation, individuals always try to make themselves updated through many other training programs and always engaged themselves in other career enhancement programs which increase their working hours. These economic situations and demand for talented employees, change the role of women employees in the world which causes a state in it, female employees undergo eerie burden for developing their career as substantial as male equivalent while sustaining positive participation at the home. This leads to the turnover rate of female employees, lack of commitment, reduction of satisfaction which creates an unhealthy environment in the organizations as well as neglects the talented women employees. For reducing all these situations a concept of' work-life balance' help the woman employees to build a strong career and give a chance to show their commitment towards their job or organization which also increases productivity and causes development in the organizations. This show positively effects on female workers as physical, emotional and social well-being and for maintaining a work-life balance, it is inevitability for working- women to lead a quality-life. In this research paper we present the literature of work-life balance and working women to balancing personal responsibilities and achieving professional objectives. In between the various challenges women employees face a big challenge to maintain the balance in professional life (official work responsibilities) and personal life (family responsibilities) (Frone , Russell and Cooper 1992, Noor 2004, Welter 2004, Guendouzi 2006). As we know that the family and work both are equally important parts of an employee's life, showing less commitment towards anyone part, causing lots of problem for an individual which harm his/her mental health. Mainly female employees face this type of problems because in India women faces erratic division of parenting hood, household chores, and childcare which become major barriers in women career enhancement (Bird 2006, Cross and Linehan 2006). In India where the society is mainly male dominated there women workforce faces difficulties in managing family and office both together. Indian working women always expected to manage the large responsibility of family and it also an accreditation that the males are “bread-winners and women as “house makers”. In the scenario of equality, Indian society also transform and the role of women also changed where women only known as a home-maker now they known as working women but while playing the role of working women as well as homemaker female employees facing a lot of problems and for reducing these problems a concept 'Work-Life Balance' is introduced which enhance work quality, better time management, boosting career of women, increasing growth and profitability of the organisation.
