Aldo Dinucci holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (1992-1996) and a master’s and Ph.D. in Philosophy from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. He is an honorary researcher at the University of Kent (UK) and a Professor of Ancient Philosophy at the Federal University of Sergipe in Brazil, where he focuses on Stoicism, especially the works of Epictetus. Since 2007, he has been the founder and editor-in- chief of the scientific journal Prometheus Journal of Philosophy and coordinates the Epictetus Working Group. Additionally, he is a member of the UNESCO Chair in Archai and participates in the postgraduate philosophy programs at the Federal University of Bahia, the Federal University of Sergipe, and the University of Brasília.
