Knowing that microwaves have a great potential for savings in the drying process with the possibility of increasing product quality, this study aimed to evaluate the quality of soybean seeds submitted to electromagnetic energy. Thus, samples of cultivar 28-15RY were exposed to a microwave power of 0.2 W/g at a frequency of 2.45 GHz, for 15 min to 40 °C, and then tested as germination tests and vigor. The results showed that microwaves drying brought increases in root length, fresh mass, longevity and dry mass values.
