Becc. merupakan bunga tertinggi di dunia dengan keunikannya, saat ini keberadaannya sangat langka dengan status nyaris punah. Keunikan tumbuhan adanya bau yang menyerupai bau bangkai sertamemiliki ketinggian hingga mencapai 2.5 meter. Termasuk kedalam suku Araceae (talas-talasan). Marga terdiri dari sekitar 176 jenis yang tersebar di seluruh dunia, 25 jenis diantaranya atau sekitar 14,2 % terdapat di Indonesia. Merupakan 8 jenis endemik di Sumatera. Amorphophallus titanum tersebar sepanjang Bukit Barisan Selatan terutama di Sumatera Barat dan Bengkulu. Habitat Amorphophallus titanum di Bengkulu dapat ditemukan di Kawasan hutan lindung, Cagaralam, ataupun di perkebunan penduduk. Kondisi iklim mikro yang diperlukan untuk pertumbuhan bunga Amorphophallus titanum umumnya di lingkungan dengan suhu rendah, dan kelembaban tinggi, serta intensitas cahaya matahari yang rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Struktur dan Komposisi Tumbuhan Pada Habitat Bunga Amorphophallus titanum Becc. di Cagar Alam Pagar Gunung IV Kepahiang Propinsi Bengkulu. Pengamatan dilakukan dengan data primer diambil dengan langsung ke lokasi penelitian sedangkan data skunder diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan penduduk. Sampel vegetasi diambil langsung ketempat penelitian pada transek – transek pengamatan di lokasi target di lakukan pendataan jenis tumbuhan yang terdapat di dalam plot – plot pengamatan 2 x 2 m 2 dan 5 x 5 m 2 , masing – masing sebanyak 10 plot. Kemudian sampel yang di ambil di awetkan sebagai herbarium kering untuk keperluan identifikasi di laboratorium. Becc. is the highest flower in the world with its uniqueness, currently its existence is very rare with near-extinct status. The uniqueness of plants is the smell that resembles the smell of the carcass and has a height of up to 2.5 meters. Included in the Araceae tribe (taro-talasan). This clan consists of about 176 species spread throughout the world, 25 of them or around 14.2% found in Indonesia. Is an 8 types of endemic in Sumatra. Amorphophallus titanum is spread along the Bukit Barisan Selatan especially in West Sumatra and Bengkulu. Amorphophallus titanum habitat in Bengkulu can be found in protected forest areas, nature reserves, or on people's plantations. Micro climatic conditions needed for the growth of Amorphophallus titanum flowers generally in environments with low temperatures, and high humidity, and low sunlight intensity. This study aims to determine the Structure and Composition of Plants in the Amorphophallus titanium Becc Flower Habitat. in the Mount IV Kepahiang Nature Reserve, Bengkulu Province. The study was conducted in April at the Gunung IV Nature Reserve in Bengkulu Province. Vegetation samples were taken directly to the study site at the observation transects at the target location to collect data on plant species contained in the observation plots of 2 x 2 m2 and 5 x 5 m2, respectively - each as many as 10. Then the samples taken at preserved as a dry herbarium for identification purposes in the laboratory.
