The first report is entitled “New information about Ukrainian-Turkish relations under Bohdan Khmelnytskyi”, in which the scholar highlighted the content of the document of 1650 by Tur- kish Sultan Mehmed IV to the Ukrainian hetman, which was published in an article by Czech orientalist Jan Rypka. In his second report, “The Successes of Studying the History of the Turks in the USSR over the Last Decade”, Zahorovskyi gave a general analysis of Turkological studies in the Soviet Union in the 1920s. During the publication of theses, the whole list of scientific li- terature to which the researcher referred in his essay was reconstructed. The publication of ar- - chival materials expands the nomenclature of scientific works of the Odessa historian and adds additional details to exploring the activities of the Odessa branch of the All-Ukrainian Scientific Association of Oriental Studies and the development of Oriental Studies in Ukraine in the se- cond half of the 1920s.
