Para lograrlo, se presenta el marco teórico desde el cual el grupo se forma, respaldado por la tesis del nevoeiro (‘niebla’) de Guilherme Wisnik y la cuestión de la verdad, la imagen y la vigilancia en la contem- poraneidad. A través de un análisis teórico y estudio de casos, se busca definir la arquitec- tura forense como una metodología capaz de navegar a través de la niebla contemporánea y tener una acción efectiva mediante la crea- ción de una nueva epistemología que conecta diversas áreas de conocimiento para combatir la violencia de Estado. Finalmente, se examinan los nuevos lenguajes de la arquitectura forense en América Latina, con la apertura de nuevas agencias que sitúan la práctica desde otras nece- sidades y perspectivas. is article analyzes the work of the Forensic Architecture agency to understand how archi- tecture can be a crucial tool for interpreting contemporary events and how this practice integrates into the Latin American context. To achieve this, it presents the theoretical frame- work at the basis of the group's work, supported by Guilherme Wisnik's concept of nevoeiro (‘fog’) and the issues of truth, image, and surveillance in contemporary society. rough theoretical analysis and case studies, the article seeks to define forensic architecture as a methodology capable of navigating through the contempo- rary fog and taking effective action by creating a new epistemology that connects various areas of knowledge to counter state violence. Finally, it examines the emerging languages of forensic architecture in Latin America, with the emer- gence of new agencies that approach the practice from different needs and perspectives.
