Shalawat, as a form of praise for Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), has become an integral part of the religious life of Muslim communities worldwide, including in the Nusantara region. The interpretation of Surah al-Ahzab verse 56 serves as one of the primary sources for understanding the concept of Shalawat in Islam. The research methodology encompasses literature analysis, an understanding of cultural contexts, and a review of both classical and contemporary interpretations. This study explores the interpretation of the Quranic verses related to Shalawat from the perspectives of theology (aqidah), jurisprudence (fiqh), and Sufism (tasawuf). It also involves an analysis of Surah al-Ahzab verse 56 through three distinct scholarly lenses: theological interpretation, jurisprudential interpretation, and Sufi interpretation. Furthermore, this research delves into the operationalization and implications of the meaning of Shalawat within the context of its practice in Indonesia, taking into account ideologies, traditions, and spirituality. The findings of this research reveal that the practice of Shalawat in Nusantara takes various forms, both theoretically and pragmatically, in accordance with the Quranic command. Surah al-Ahzab verse 56 is interpreted through three distinct scholarly perspectives, collectively providing a profound understanding of the practice of Shalawat within Nusantara culture. This study offers deeper insights into the role of Quranic interpretation in shaping the understanding and implementation of Shalawat, as well as its relevance within the Indonesian cultural context. Shalawat, sebagai bentuk pujian kepada Nabi Muhammad SAW, telah menjadi bagian integral dari kehidupan keagamaan masyarakat Muslim di seluruh dunia, termasuk di Nusantara. Tafsir Surat al-Ahzab ayat 56 merupakan salah satu sumber utama untuk memahami konsep Shalawat dalam Islam. Metode penelitian ini mencakup analisis literatur, pemahaman konteks budaya, dan tinjauan terhadap tafsir klasik serta kontemporer. Kajian ini mengeksplorasi aspek penafsiran ayat-ayat Al-Qur'an tentang Shalawat dari perspektif akidah, fikih, dan tasawuf, serta melibatkan analisis tafsir Surat al-Ahzab ayat 56 dalam tiga nuansa keilmuan: tafsir I'tiqadi, tafsir Fiqhi, dan tafsir Sufi. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga meneliti operasionalisasi dan implikasi makna Shalawat dalam konteks penerapan di Indonesia, dengan mempertimbangkan ideologi, tradisi, dan spiritualitas. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa praktik Shalawat di Nusantara memiliki beragam bentuk yang sesuai dengan perintah dalam al-Qur'an, baik secara teoritis maupun pragmatis. Tafsir Surat al-Ahzab ayat 56 memiliki format tafsir yang mencakup tiga nuansa keilmuan yang berbeda, yang secara bersamaan memberikan pemahaman yang mendalam tentang praktik Shalawat dalam budaya Nusantara. Studi ini berpotensi memberikan wawasan yang lebih mendalam tentang peran tafsir Al-Qur'an dalam membentuk pemahaman dan implementasi Shalawat, serta relevansinya dalam konteks budaya Indonesia.
