Metode yang digunakan adalah metode experimental fishing kemudian di analisa menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan uji T-test. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan April sampai Mei 2022. Pengambilan data dilakukan 16 kali sebagai ulangan dan 2 perlakuan berupa lama perendaman 1 jam dan 3 jam sehingga diperoleh 32 data. Hasil penelitian menunjukan hasil tangkapan jaring insang dasar pada lama perendaman 1 jam sebanyak 47% dan lama perendaman 3 jam sebanyak 53%. Jumlah hasil tangkapan pada lama perendaman 3 jam lebih besar dari pada lama perendaman 1 jam. Namun berdasarkan anilisis uji t di simpulkan tidak ada pengaruh lama perendaman 1 jam atau 3 jam terhadap hasil tangkapan jaring insang dasar. Perbedaan jumlah hasil tangkapan ikan demersal di antara kedua ukuran mata jaring tersebut kemungkinan di sebabkan oleh beberapa factor lingkungan yakni arus, suhu, dan salinitas. Kata kunci: ikan demersal, lama perendaman, jaring insang dasar ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of differences in the duration of immersion of bottom gillnets on the number of demersal fish catches. The method used is experimental fishing method then analyzed using normality test, homogeneity test and T-test. This research was conducted from April to May 2022. Data collection was carried out 16 times as replicates and 2 treatments in the form of 1 hour and 3 hours of immersion in order to obtain 32 data. The results showed that the catch of basic gill nets at 1 hour of immersion was 47% and 3 hours of immersion was 53%. The number of catches at 3 hours of immersion was greater than that of 1 hour of immersion. However, based on the t-test analysis, it was concluded that there was no effect of 1 hour or 3 hours of immersion on the bottom gill net catch. The difference in the number of demersal fish catches between the two mesh sizes is probably caused by several environmental factors, namely currents, temperature, and salinity.
