E-mail: higuchi.mig@gmail.com : https://orcid.org/0000-0001-6525-4018 Recebido em 03/04/2023 e aceito em 18/08/2023 RESUMO: A floresta amazônica é caracterizada como um ecossistema de suma importância, é sujeita a subjetividades que são forjadas na história da própria pessoa e do contexto sociocultural. Para desvelar tais subjetividades as Percepções Ambientais (PA) surgem como campo um metodológico promissor. Este estudo teve como objetivo identificar as PAs sobre a floresta amazônica e sua importância para discente o de pós-graduação em ciências ambientais de uma IES do Amazonas. Caracterizou, como um estudo exploratório descritivo, desenvolvido em plena pandemia do Covid-19, momento em que os participantes responderam on-line a um questionário semiestruturado (Google Forms). Participaram do estudo 48 discentes (26 mulheres e 22 homens) com idades entre 25 e 69 anos. Os resultados demonstram a notoriedade da floresta não só em contextos regionais e nacionais, mas com enorme relevância internacional. Conclui-se que a floresta detém, segundo a percepção desses discentes uma importância complexa, marcada por uma tríade conceitual, que expressa diferentes aspectos da notoriedade desse ecossistema, seja nas esferas nacionais ou internacionais. Materializando a floresta com uma importância estratégica, pautada sobretudo por seus serviços ambientais. Palavras-chave: Bioma; Ciências Ambientais; Serviços ambientais. ABSTRACT: The Amazon rainforest, despite being revered ecosystem of paramount importance, is subject to subjectivities that are forged in the history of the person and the sociocultural context. To unveil such subjectivities, Environmental Perceptions (PA) emerge as a promising methodological path. This study aimed to identify the PA in the Amazon rainforest and its importance for graduate students in environmental sciences at na hei in the Amazon. It was characterized as a descriptive exploratory study, developed in the middle of the Covid- 19 pandemic, at which time the participants answered a semi-structured questionnaire (Google Forms) online. Forty-eight students (26 women and 22 men) aged between 25 and 69 years participated in the study. The results demonstrate the notoriety of the forest not only in regional and national contexts, but with enormous international relevance. Thus, it is concluded that the forest has, according to the perception of these students, a complex importance, marked by a conceptual triad, which expresses different aspects of the importance of this ecosystem, whether in the national or international spheres.
