Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif analisis. Instrumen beru- pa tes uraian yang memuat indikator berpikir kreatif dan angket siswa. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada siswa kelas VIII di salah satu SMP Cimahi yang berjumlah 33 siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematik siswa berada pada kriteria cukup baik. Rata-rata skor siswa berada pada tingkat cukup kreatif. Faktor penyebab kesulitan belajar dalam menyelesaikan soal kemampuan berpikir kreatif mengenai persa- maan garis lurus adalah siswa tidak dapat memahami grafik pada soal dengan baik, siswa tidak dapat menentukan titik koordinat pada grafik, siswa tidak memahami konsep persamaan garis melalui gradien dengan baik, kemamp- uan operasi hitung aljabar siswa juga masih lemah sehingga jawaban menjadi salah. Ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa belum terbiasa menjawab soal-soal yang memuat indikator berpikir kreatif. Abstract This study aims to analyse the ability of students’ mathematical creative thinking in one of the junior high schools in Cimahi. The research approach used is qualitative with the descriptive method of analysis. The instrument is a description test that includes indicators of creative thinking and student questionnaires. The research was conducted on grade VIII students in one of Cimahi Junior High School, which amounted to 33 students. Based on the result of research, it is found that students’ mathematical creativity ability is to good enough criteria. The average student score is at a fairly creative level. The factors that cause learning difficulties in solving the problem of creative thinking about straight line equation are the students cannot understand the graph of the problem well. The students cannot determine the coordinate point on the graph. The students do not understand the concept of the equation of the line through the gradient well. The abil- ity of the student’s algebraic counting operation also still weak, so the answer to be wrong. This shows that students are not yet accustomed to answering questions that contain indicators of creative thinking. All rights reserved p-ISSN: 2086-2334; e-ISSN: 2442-4218 PENDAHULUAN Matematika merupakan salah satu mata pe- lajaran yang berguna dalam kehidupan se- hari-hari, sehingga penting bagi siswa untuk menguasai konsep. Matematika dipelajari siswa pada jenjang sekolah menengah. Siswa sekolah menengah masih banyak mengala- mi kesulitan memahami matematika karena materi yang abstrak bagi mereka, sehingga mereka kesulitan menyelesaikannya. Put- ra, Setiawan, Nurdianti, Retta, & Desi (2018) mengemukakan kemampuan pemahanam matematis siswa pada salah satu sekolah me- nengah sebesar 41,67% berada pada kriteria rendah, 30,56% berada pada kriteria sedang, dan 27,72% berada pada kriteria sedang. Ren- dahnya pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep matematika akan menghambat perkemban-
