77 IN SITU - 2/1 (2023) T he agrarian landscape of the ancient colony of Iader was formed according to the princi- ples of Roman land surveying, and the area of the ager continuously changed from the mo- ment of its formation due to human and natural factors. Historical (RAF photographs), and especially con- temporary aerial photographs, show that the remains of Roman centu- riation are also visible in today’s di- vision of the urban space of the city and its surroundings.
