La restitución tiene como objetivo la reflexión científica sobre las artes del altar y la configuración espacial y decorativa de los escenarios litúrgicos en el contexto del arte románico catalán (siglos XI-XIII), a través del estudio de este espacio concreto, de las diferentes posibilidades restitutivas a partir de los datos disponibles y del debate crítico a su entorno. ABSTRACT Throughout the years 2021-2022, the virtual restoration of the main apse of the Romanesque cathedral of Girona, lost due to the construction of the preserved Gothic building, has been carried out. The restoration aims at the scientific reflection on the arts of the altar and the spatial and decorative configuration of the liturgical settings in the context of Catalan Romanesque art (11th- 13th centuries), through the study of this specific space, the different restorative possibilities based on available data, and critical debate in its environment.
