Na maioria das vezes, o conhecimento e o consequente uso dessas plantas são transmitidos através das gerações, contudo, sem a associação do estudo científico que ateste a eficácia do tratamento. O objetivo do presente trabalho foi analisar as indicações terapêuticas das plantas medicinais utilizadas para problemas circulatórios, comercializadas pelos raizeiros nas feiras populares e bancas de plantas medicinais em Rondonópolis (MT). A pesquisa foi realizada entre os anos de 2019 e 2020. As informações obtidas foram: nome comum, científico, família, extrato utilizado, ação farmacológica, indicações etnofarmacológicas, parte utilizada. Os dados etnofarmacológicos foram comparados com os farmacológicos a fim de certificar a indicação dos raizeiros. Quinze espécies foram indicadas para problemas do sistema circulatório, sendo que cinco tiveram confirmações de suas indicações na literatura, quatro espécies mostraram atividade farmacológica relacionada com problemas circulatórios, mas não conferem exatamente com a indicação etnofarmacológica dos raizeiros e ainda seis espécies não apresentaram estudos que comprovaram a indicação popular. O presente estudo contribuiu com conhecimento sobre as plantas medicinais utilizadas pela população que podem fornecer informações úteis para a descoberta e desenvolvimento científico de novos fármacos. Palavras-chave: Plantas medicinais, problemas do sistema circulatório, raizeiros MEDICINAL PLANTS USED FOR CIRCULATORY SYSTEM PROBLEMS IN RONDONÓPOLIS (MT) ABSTRACT: The State of Mato Grosso has a diversity of medicinal plants traditionally used by numerous people. Most of the time, the knowledge and the consequent use of these plants are transmitted through the generations, however, without scientific study that attests the efficiency of the treatment. The objective of this study was to analyze the therapeutic indications of medicinal plants used for circulatory problems, marketed by the raizeiros in the street market and in the commercial center in Rondonópolis (MT). The research was carried out between the years 2019 and 2020. The information obtained were common name, scientific name, family, pharmacological action, ethnopharmacological indications, extract and a description of the plant parts used. The ethnopharmacological indications were compared with the pharmacological data to certify the indication different therapeutic indications of the raizeiros. Fifteen species were indicated for circulatory system problems, five of which had confirmation of their indications in the literature, four species showed pharmacological activity related for circulatory system problems, but they do not exactly match the ethnopharmacological indication of the raizeiros and yet six species did not present studies that proved the popular indication. The present study contributed with knowledge about medicinal plants used by the population that can provide useful information for the discovery and scientific development of new drugs.
