1 KAJIAN KITAB TAFSIR AL-QURTUBI KARYA SYEKH AL- QURTUBI Aghna Azkiya azkiyaaghna@gmail.com Bashori bashori@uin-antasari.ac.id Fakultas Ushuluddin dan Humaniora Universitas Islam Negeri Antasari, Banjarmasin Abstact This study comprehensively examines the book of Tafsir Al-Jami' li Ahkam Al- Qur'an by Imam Al-Qurtubi with a focus on historical aspects, manuscripts, and its position in the treasures of Islamic interpretation. The research used library research method with historical-analytical approach. The results showed some important findings: First, in terms of the history of writing, this book began to be written when Al-Qurtubi was in Egypt after leaving Andalusia due to political upheaval, and was completed around 665 H. Second, related to manuscripts and publishing, several original manuscripts were found stored in various libraries such as Dar al-Kutub al-Mishriyah Cairo and Az-Zaitunah Library Tunisia, which later became the basis for various modern printed editions by leading publishers such as Dar al-Kutub al-Mishriyah (1933-1950) and Mu'assasah ar-Risalah. Third, in terms of identification and categorization, this tafsir is included in the category of tafsir bi al-ma'tsur combined with bi al-ra'yi, using the tahlili method with a dominant fiqhi style. Fourth, regarding its position and type, this book is included in the group of tafsir ahkam which has high authority in the study of Islamic law. Fifth, from the aspect of the assessment of scholars, the majority gave positive appreciation for objectivity, breadth of reference, and systematic methodology, although some scholars noted the existence of isra'iliyyat history that needs to be criticized. This study concludes that Tafsir Al-Qurtubi is a masterpiece in the field
