Camping activities are referred to outdoor recreation and nature-based activities and have a long history in the context of leisure and tourism. While early camping activities were basic, inexpensive and focused on spending time at nature areas, modern camping now includes stays at much more modern campsites and camping grounds, and modern caravans, campers, motor homes and recreational vehicles provide extra comfort and convenience. At the same time, glamping, a form of camping that combines outdoor recreation with luxury hospitality, has emerged to demonstrate how camping has evolved over time.
