Methods: This prospective study was conducted at DVVPF’s Medical College & Hospital. The study included 150 patients with corneal ulcers who were evaluated for demographic details, clinical presentations, microbiological investigations, and treatment outcomes. Results: The predominant causative organisms were bacteria (58%), followed by fungi (25%), and viral infections (10%). Contact lens wear (34%) and trauma (29%) were the leading risk factors. The management approach was primarily medical, with 70% of cases responding to topical antibiotics, antifungals, or antivirals, while 30% required surgical intervention, including debridement or keratoplasty. Conclusion: Corneal ulcers present a significant challenge in ophthalmology, necessitating timely diagnosis and tailored management strategies. This study underscores the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to improve patient outcomes. Copyright, IJAR, 2025,. All rights reserved. …………………………………………………………………………………………………….... Introduction:- Corneal ulcers are a major cause of ocular morbidity worldwide, contributing significantly to visual impairment and blindness. These ulcers result from infections, trauma, or other ocular surface diseases, leading to inflammation and necrosis of the corneal stroma. Understanding the clinical profile, diagnostic methods, and management of corneal ulcers is crucial for improving treatment outcomes and preventing complications such as corneal perforation and scarring. This study aims to provide a comprehensive overview of 150 corneal ulcer cases, focusing on the clinical characteristics, investigative findings, and therapeutic interventions. Methodology:- Study Design A prospective, randomized study was conducted at DVVPF’s Medical College & Hospital between May 2023 and April 2024. The study included 150 patients of corneal ulcer.
