ChatGPT offers several significant advantages, such as increased student engagement, personalized feedback, and the ability to support independent learning and the development of critical thinking skills. The technology creates interactive learning environments, helping students better understand complex mathematical concepts through adaptive virtual tutoring. Moreover, ChatGPT assists teachers by generating diverse problem sets and enriching assessment processes. However, challenges remain, including issues with the accuracy and reliability of ChatGPT's responses, the risk of diminishing students' critical thinking skills due to over-reliance on AI, and concerns surrounding assessment integrity and data security. The findings suggest that ChatGPT is most effective when used as a supplementary tool alongside human instructors rather than as a full replacement for traditional teaching. The study concludes that future research should focus on improving AI accuracy, developing teacher training programs for AI integration, and ensuring ethical use in education. ChatGPT holds significant potential to revolutionize mathematics education, but its implementation should be thoughtful, with an emphasis on human interaction and cognitive skill development. One notable advancement is the emergence of AI-driven tools like ChatGPT, a conversational AI model that has garnered attention for its potential to enhance educational processes (Zagirniak et al., 2023; Livberber & Ayvaz, 2023). With the growing accessibility of such tools, there is an increasing interest in leveraging them to support various aspects of learning, including mathematics education, which is often regarded as a challenging subject for both students and educators (Gandolfi, 2024). ChatGPT, with its capacity to generate real-time responses, provide feedback, and facilitate personalized learning experiences, presents promising opportunities for addressing these challenges. Mathematics education is evolving in response to the demand for fostering critical thinking, problem- solving skills, and digital literacy (National Mathematics Advisory Panel, 2008).
