The collection comprises 254 specimens representing 1 superfamily, 2 families, 7 genera, and 9 species. Among these, Clorida decorata Wood-Mason, 1875 and Harpiosquilla raphidea (Fabricius, 1798) are new records for the area. Cloridopsis aquilonaris Manning, 1978, is synonymized with C. scorpio (Latreille, 1828). All nine species are illustrated and a diagnostic key to the species known from southern China between Macau and Hong Kong is provided. INTRODUCTION The stomatopod fauna of the Chinese coasts has received relatively little sci- entic attention.
