KEEFEKTIFAN PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN CORE PADA PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA DITINJAU DARI KEMAMPUAN KONEKSI MATEMATIS DAN SELF-CONFIDENCE SISWA Rani Sugiarni 1 , Mita 2 , Elsa Komala 3 1,2,3 Pendidikan Matematika FKIP Universitas Suryakancana 1 rani@unsur.ac.id ABSTRACT The purpose of the study was to determine the achievement, improvement, and attitudes of students towards mathematics learning by using the Connecting Organizing Reflecting Extending (CORE) model. The research method was quasi- experimental and the design of this study was Nonequivalent control group design. The experimental class obtained learning with the CORE learning model and the control class obtained a conventional learning model. The population of this study was the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Karangtengah Cianjur in the academic year 2018/2019. The samples used in this study were selected as many as 2 classes from 11 existing classes with purposive sampling technique. To get the data of the research results used instruments in the form of tests of students' mathematical connection abilities in the form of descriptions and student Self- Confidence questionnaires. The results showed that the achievement of mathematical connection skills of students using the CORE learning model was better than the achievement of students 'mathematical connection skills using conventional learning models viewed from the students' poststest values, increasing mathematical connection skills of students using learning with models Learning CORE is better than increasing the mathematical connection ability of students using conventional learning models with a category of high increase seen from the gain index scores both using the Mann-Whitney test, Student's Self-Confidence towards learning mathematics using the CORE learning model is mostly positive in terms of the percentage of answers from student questionnaires.
