The study aims to describe the role of Scout extracurricular activities in shaping students' independent character, identify supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of the P5 Project in the independent dimension, and explore solutions to overcome obstacles in Scout extracurricular activities at SD Negeri 03 Gadingan, Mojolaban District, Sukoharjo Regency. The research employs a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. A descriptive qualitative research method is used. Data collection instruments include observation sheets, interview sheets, and documentation. Data analysis follows the Miles and Huberman model, which consists of three stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. Data validity is ensured through triangulation, covering four aspects: method triangulation, investigator triangulation (if conducted in groups), data source triangulation, and theory triangulation. The results indicate that Scout extracurricular activities at SD Negeri 03 Gadingan play a crucial role in fostering students' independent character through training in responsibility, decision-making, and self-reliance. Supporting factors include school support, active mentors, and student enthusiasm, while obstacles include limited facilities, lack of method variation, and minimal parental involvement. To address these challenges, innovations in teaching methods, utilization of technology, increased teacher involvement, and optimized activity schedules have been implemented. In conclusion, Scouting has been proven to significantly contribute to shaping students' independent character in alignment with the Pancasila Student Profile, although further development is needed to enhance effectiveness and sustainability.
