The research design was descriptive survey. The population of the study were families under 25 years of registered civil marriage in the region comprising of 46,100 families (ministry of social welfare). The sample size consisted of 4000 families drawn using multi-purpose sampling techniques. The sample size was firstly stratified into (parents, youths, and adolescents). Simple random sampling technique was used to select the locality and purposive sampling technique was used to select the families. The research instrument was a researcher developed questionnaire made up of three clusters. The data collected were analysed using mean scores and standard deviation for research questions 1,2,3. The findings revealed poor quality of life among parents, youths and adolescents of Igbo speaking families from south eastern states of Nigeria. The following recommendations were proffered, to include: the need to overhaul governance, attention of the federal government should be drawn to the geo-political zone. Government should facilitate the provision of basic amenities in the region. There is the need to institute a federal monitoring team.
