Teixeira Júnior 2 Gary Rainer Chumacero Vanderley 3 ABSTRACT This article proposes a geopolitical analysis about energy security in China and India military dimension. The study will focus on energy cooperation and integration projects in which Beijing and New Delhi articulate with supplier countries in the nearby region. Then, It will be analysed the risks posed in selected cases, regarding energy sector infrastructure protection and the transportation of fuels through maritime routes and straits. It is concluded that instead of imposing competition as a geographical determination, geopolitical challenges in energy security presents a horizon in which Sino-Indian cooperation emerges as mandatory for the security of the two Asian powers.
