EKOSISTEM PLAY TO EARN ………| ISSN: 2656-596X| 67 "EKOSISTEM PLAY TO EARN: MENGUPAS PENGARUH AXIE INFINITY TERHADAP KEUANGAN PEMAIN" Firman Institut Pangeran Dharma Kusuma Email: domfirman1503@gmail.com Abstract Metaverse Play to Earn games have become popular on mobile phones because they allow players to earn in-game tokens or cryptocurrencies that they can convert into real-world profits. This article examines the impact of the Play to Earn ecosystem on players' finances, with a particular focus on the Axie Infinity game and the relevance of cryptocurrencies to economic development. This research was conducted in the Krangkeng area of Indramayu Regency, specifically targeting Axie Infinity players who are members of the Axie Infinity Indramayu community. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a field research approach based on data analysis obtained from literature study techniques, data collection in the form of interviews and documentation. It was concluded that Axie Infinity has a significant influence on the economics of its players such as new income, capital investment and personal financial management, especially those related to play to earn. The Axie Infinity Indramayu community shows that the consequences of playing this game are more than just drama, but rather a new source of income for tens of millions of its members. Limitations in this study are tied to players' earnings on crypto price volatility and the economic procedures set by the axie infinity developers, which make financial outcomes difficult to predict. Keywords: Play to earn, Axie Infinity, Metaverse Abstrak: Game Metaverse Play to Earn telah menjadi populer di ponsel karena memungkinkan pemain untuk mendapat token atau mata uang crypto dalam game yang dapat mereka ubah menjadi keuntungan di dunia nyata. Artikel ini membahas dampak ekosistem Play to Earn terhadap keuangan pemain, dengan fokus khusus pada permainan Axie Infinity dan relevansi mata uang kripto dengan perkembangan ekonomi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di wilayah Krangkeng Kabupaten Indramayu, khusus menyasar para pemain Axie Infinity yang tergabung dalam komunitas Axie Infinity Indramayu. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan penelitian lapangan berdasarkan analisis data yang diperoleh dari Teknik studi kepustakaan, pengumpulan data berupa wawancara dan dokumentasi. Disimpulkan bahwa axie infinity memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan pada ekonomi para pemainnya seperti pendapatan baru, investasi modal dan pengelolaan keuangan pribadi, terutama yang berkaitan dengan play to earn. Komunitas Axie Infinity Indramayu menunjukkan bahwa konsekuensi main game ini lebih dari sekadar drama, melainkan sumber penghasilan baru per puluhan juta bagian anggotanya. Keterbatasan dalam penelitian ini terikat pada penghasilan pemain pada volatilisasi harga kripto dan prosedur ekonomi yang diatur oleh developer axie infinity, yang menjadikan hasil finansial sulit diprediksi.
