Sonuç olarak bu ile pneumonilerinin tedavisinde enrofloksas in ile tek doz fluniksin meglumin kombinasyonunun etkili bir ve beraberinde tedavi süresinin Anahtar Kelimeler: Enzootik Pneumoni, enrotloksasin, fluniks in meglumin The comparison of the effects of enrofloxacin and enrofloxacin+flunixin meglumine combination in the treatment of enzootic calf pneumonia Summary: It was aimed to compare the effects of enrotloxacin and enrofloxacin+flunixin meglumine combination in 40 calves (3-6 months) exhibiting signs (fever, tachypnea, coughing ... ) of enzoot ic pneumonia in this study. At the treatment stage, two different groups were designed: enrofloxacin (5mglkg, i.m., 1 x l, 5 days) in 1 group (n=20) and tlunixin meg lumine (2.2mglkg, i. v., once) in II"d group (n=20) in addition to group 's therapy were used. Clinical and hematological examinations were repeated in the 2"d, 3 1 h, 5th and 7 1 h days of this study. lt was observed that temperature reduced from 3'd day in group I and 2"d day in group II (p<O.OOJ) ; heart and respiratory rates of group II were less than those of group I. It was determined that WBC count increased in each group; neutrophil rate decreased from 2"d day in group II during treatment, but within nonnal limits. After 5 days treatment, administration of enrofloxac in was maintained for 2 days to 3 ca lves in group I and 4 calves in group II which were observed to be uncompletely recovered. · As a result, in this study, it was concluded that the combination of enrotloxacin and single dose tl unix in meglumine mi ght be effectively used, and also duration of therapy could be shortened in the treatment of enzootic calf pneumonia.
