Universidad de Antioquia. maria.munera@udea.edu.co Resumen: Se destaca la importancia del proceso de categorización como parte de las dinámicas investigativas y de manera específica, dentro del contexto de la investigación sobre “La terminología de la bibliotecología en América Latina: un estudio comparativo”, cuyo planteamiento central se fundamentó en la definición de un sistema categorial, que a su vez generó otros sistemas categoriales, que permitieron lograr una aproximación a dimensiones específicas de la educación bibliotecológica en esta región del continente, así como el abordar enfoques teóricos y epistemológicos que fundamentan el hacer bibliotecológico de manera general y otras subcategorías que permitieron evidenciar un panorama de la formación bibliotecológica, desde diferentes ámbitos. Abstract: The importance of the categorization process is highlighted as part of the research dynamics and specifically, within the context of the research on "the terminology of librarianship in Latin America: a comparative study", whose central approach was based on the definition of a categorial system, which in turn generated other categorical systems, which made it possible to achieve an approximation to specific dimensions of library education in this region of the continent, as well as to approach theoretical and epistemological approaches that support the general librarianship and other subcategories that allowed to show a panorama of the librarianship training, from different areas.
