The method used was an experiment arranged using a one- factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with seven Aluminum exchangeable treatments of calcite equivalent to doses (0; 0.5; 1; 1.5; 2; 2.5 and 3 cmol/kg exchangeable Al) respectively equivalent to the addition of calcite as much as (0; 3.8; 5.7; 7.6; 9.5; 11.4; 13.3 g calcite/3 kg absolute dry soil), or ( 0 ton/ha; 2,964 ton/ha; 4,218 ton/ha; 5,624 ton/ha; 6,956 ton/ha; 8,436 ton/ha, and 9,842 ton/ha). Each treatment had 3 replications so there were 21 experimental units. Data processing to determine the effect of treatment used Analysis of Varian (AN0VA) and followed by using Tukey Test at a 95% real level. Parameters observed included pH, cation exchange capacity (CEC), available P, exchanged Al and Fe, Al, Mn oxides. The results showed that the application of calcite equivalent to 0.5 cmol/kg Al-dd = 2.964 tons/ha had a significant effect on increasing pH, decreasing exchangeable Al 3+ and H + . There was no significant difference in the application of calcite even at an exchangeable Al dose of 3 cmol/kg, but there was an improvement in soil properties such as available P at a dose of calcite up to an Al-dd equivalent of 1 cmol/kg. The application of calcite > 1 cmol/kg exchangeable Al on Latosol is suspected to have been excessive (over-liming) which has an impact on decreasing available P. Giving calcite at doses > 1.5 cmol/kg just shows an increase in soil CEC values. Mn oxides did not change with the addition of calcite doses Keywords : Calcite application, Latosol, Chemical properties ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh pengapuran dengan kalsit (CaC0 3 ) terhadap dinamika beberapa sifat kimia Latosol. Metode yang digunakan adalah percobaan yang disusun menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) satu faktor dengan tujuh perlakuan pemberian kalsit yang disetarakan dengan dosis (0; 0,5; 1; 1,5; 2; 2,5 dan 3 cmol/kg Al-dd) yang secara berturut-turut setara dengan pemberian kalsit sebanyak (0; 3,8; 5,7; 7,6; 9,5; 11,4; 13,3 g kalsit/3 kg tanah kering mutlak), atau (0 ton/ha; 2,964 ton/ha; 4,218 ton/ha; 5,624 ton/ha; 6,956 ton/ha; 8,436 ton/ ha, dan 9,842 ton/ha). Setiap perlakuan terdapat 3 ulangan sehingga ada 21 unit percobaan. Pengolahan data untuk mengetahui pengaruh perlakuan digunakan sidik ragam Anaysis of Varian (AN0VA) dan diikuti dengan uji lanjutan menggunakan Tukey pada taraf uji nyata 95%. Parameter yang diamati meliputi pH, KPK, P- tersedia, Al tertukar dan oksida Fe, Al, Mn. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian
