The purposes of this study are to know the influence of transformational leadership style on employee performance, work discipline on employee performance, and influence of transformational leadership style and work discipline on employee performance at the Department of Tourism, Youth and Sports of Serang Regency. This research used questionnaires instrument to 34 employees at the Department of Tourism, Youth and Sports Serang Regency. The researcher used a tool, named SPSS 22 to get the result of the data. The researcher used it to get the result of validity, reliability, classic assumption, simple regression, multiple regression, correlation, and hypothesis test. The result showed that the first variable (transformational leadership style) has positive and significant influence on employee performance, the second variable (work discipline) has positive and significant influence on employee performance, and the last result showed that transformational leadership style and work discipline has positive and significant influence on employee performance at the Department of Tourism, Youth and Sports Serang Regency Keyword: Transformational Leadership Style, Work Discipline, Employee Performance PENDAHULUAN Manajemen Sumber Daya Manusia (MSDM) di sektor publik berusaha mengungkap manusia sebagai sumber daya seutuhnya dalam konsepsi pembangunan bangsa yang utuh dan menyeluruh. Masalah yang dihadapi oleh organisasi (pemerintah) semakin kompleks karena manajemen harus menghadapi kemajuan teknologi, pembatasan berbagai peraturan pemerintah, pertumbuhan persaingan nasional dan internasional (globalisasi), tuntunan pe ningkatan perhatian pegawai dan sebagainya (Sedamayanti, 2007). Organisasi publik pada lembaga negara merupakan sebuah organisasi yang memiliki legalitas formal, difasilitasi oleh negara untuk menyelenggarakan kepentingan rakyat disegala bidang, yang sifatnya sangat kompleks. Organisasi publik sebagai tempat untuk mengabulkan harapan yang ideal dari masyarakat. Selain itu, masyarakatpun berharap bahwa organisasi publik dapat memenuhi dan melayani seluruh kebutuhan masyarakat . Dinas Pariwisata Pemuda dan Olahraga Kabupaten Serang sebagai pelaksana Urusan Pemerintah Daerah yang harus memberikan pelayanan dibidang pariwisata, pemuda dan olahraga yang meliputi bina destinasi dan sarana pariwisata, pemasaran dan kemitraan jasa pariwisata, serta kepemudaan dan keolahrgaan, dengan mengedepankan berbagai kegiatan serta bertindak sebagai fasilitator, mediator dan negosiator.
