Fecha de aceptación: 7 de abril de 2022 La Nueva Ley General de Educación Superior de 2021 en el contexto de la 4T: un balance Francisco José Argüello Zepeda, Gustavo Antonio Segura Lazcano e Ivett Vilchis Torres* Resumen Este trabajo versa sobre la nueva Ley General de Educación Superior (2021), la cual forma parte del sistema nacional de educación y por ello se subordina a la Ley General de Educación, según el discurso oficial con los principios de bienestar social de la 4T que cuestionan al modelo neoliberal. En este sentido, el objetivo consiste en analizar los aspectos temáticos centrales de la nueva Ley General de Educación Superior (lges) poniendo énfasis en el discurso de la calidad, excelencia, equidad y regulación del Estado sobre las universidades privadas. Ello permitirá hacer un balance sobre las fortalezas (proceso de gratuidad paulatina) y las insuficiencias (la calidad educativa aún es una tarea pendiente del Estado mexicano) de la nueva ley.
