This research is a qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. Data was collected through interviews, and documentation. Sources of data, namely primary data and secondary data obtained from three objects, namely the head of SMPIT Qurrata A'yun Batusangkar and teachers, places held at SMPIT Qurrata A'yun Batusangkar, and papers containing documents about the results of academic supervision. The results showed, (1) planning for academic supervision of teacher pedagogical competence has beencarried out well (2) Implementation of academic supervision on teacher pedagogic competence, namely (a) individualsupervision techniques (b) group supervision techniques. (3) Evaluation of the results of academic supervision inthe form of measuring and assessing the realization of the planned program and its impact. (4) Following up on academic supervision to improve the pedagogic competence of classroom teachers in the form of giving awards and training to teacher competencies. Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis supervisi akademik yang terdiri dari (1) perencanaan supervisi akademik kepala sekolah terhadap kompetensi pedagogik guru guru (2) pelaksanaan supervisi akademik kepala sekolah terhadap kompetensi pedagogik guru (3) evaluasi hasil supervisi akademik kepala sekolah terhadap kompetensi pedagogik guru (4) tindak lanjut supervisi akademik kepala sekolah terhadap kompetensi pedagogik guru. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenalogi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sumber data yaitu data primer dan data sekunder diperoleh dari tiga objek yaitu kepala SMPIT Qurrata A’yun Batusangkar dan para guru, tempat-tempat yang diadakan di SMPIT Qurrata A’yun Batusangkar, dan kertas-kertas yang berisi dokumen tentang hasil supervisi akademik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, (1) perencanaan supervisi akademik terhadap kompetensi pedagogik guru sudah terlaksana dengan baik (2) Pelaksanaan supervisi akademik terhadap kompetensi pedagogik guru yaitu (a) teknik supervise individual (b) teknik supervise kelompok. (3) Evaluasi hasil supervise akademik dalam bentuk mengukur dan menilai dari realisasi program yang direncanakan serta dampaknya. (4) Menindaklanjuti supervisi akademik untuk peningkatan kompetensi pedagogik guru kelas berupa pemberian penghargaan dan pelatihan terhadap kompetensi guru.
