All rights reserved. Abstract: This paper aims to elaborate on the style of legal tafsir from various aspects. The aspects in question include historical aspects, the scopes, the debate of scholars in viewing it, and also tracing the various tafsir products that have been born. The research method used in this study is a descriptive analysis method based on library research. After conducting research, it was found that the style of legal tafsir is one of the styles of tafsir that uses the approach of Islamic law. This style of interpretation has existed since the time of the prophet and continues to grow today. Its scope is focused on the verses of law contained in the Qur'an. There are no scholars who dispute this style of interpretation, either from the Sunni or Shia, in contrast to the interpretation of science and philosophy, where scholars still debate the two styles of interpretation. The products of legal-style interpretation also continue to grow. Generally, every product of interpretation tends to fiqh madhhabs. Abstrak: Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan gaya tafsir hukmi dari berbagai aspek. Aspek yang dimaksud meliputi aspek kesejarahan, ruang lingkup, perdebatan para ulama dalam memandangnya, serta menelusuri berbagai produk tafsir yang telah lahir. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode analisis deskriptif berdasarkan penelitian kepustakaan. Setelah dilakukan penelitian, ditemukan bahwa gaya tafsir hukmi merupakan salah satu gaya tafsir yang menggunakan pendekatan hukum Islam. Gaya penafsiran seperti ini sudah ada sejak zaman nabi dan terus berkembang hingga saat ini. Ruang lingkupnya terfokus pada ayat-ayat hukum yang terdapat dalam Al-Qur'an. Tidak ada satu pun ulama yang membantah gaya penafsiran ini, baik dari kalangan Sunni maupun Syiah. Berbeda dengan tafsir ilmi dan falsafi, dimana kedua gaya tafsir tersebut masih menjadi perdebatan para ulama. Produk-produk tafsir ala hukmi juga terus berkembang, umumnya setiap produk tafsir mempunyai kecenderungan ke arah mazhab fiqh.
