MY OBJECTIVE STUDY Since I was in Junior High School. All human activities in several fields such as information technology, economics, physics, social and others will run well if they are cited in a good language framework, especially communication. This circumstance stimulated me to attend faculty of Cultural Sciences. I choose English Department as my specialization until this time. Approximately for four years, English Department is my academic home where I can contribute and share my knowledge and experiences with the others. I had numerous opportunities to do many activities. From 2010 till now I have also worked hard as a Front Officer and English Instructor in ELI (English Language Institute). Working my own way through my University is not only demonstrates my determination in gaining a high quality education and the seriousness with which I treat my academics, but also to prove my leadership ability, maturity, and responsibility, both as an English Instructor in ELI and student in Hasanuddin University. My performance in extra-curricular activities can testify to my all-round personal development. In 2007, I have followed a leadership training namely FTC (Freshmen Training Camp) and EC (English Camp). These training taught me how to be a good leader, set my mind- set, administration, negotiation and diplomacy, problem solving, conflicts management, and how to make a good relationship with other people. Then, in 2009, I have made time for a variety of extra-curricular activities in my University to gain more organizational experiences and communication skills to deal with many people because lecture and organization are my primary as a student there. I had been trusted for my organizational campus, namely PERISAI (English Department Students Association) as a member of Student Affairs Division. My responsibilities are to help some students to organize and solve their academic problems. Also, I am a member and instructor of my group, namely EDDS (English Department Debating Society). My dedication for society is accompanied by my participation in Non-Governmental Organization, namely YASINDO (Yayasan Samudera Indonesia) as a voluntary educator since 2010. My responsibility is teaching some poor people, especially street children for a certain subject, such as English, Bahasa Indonesia, History, and other social Sciences that relevant to my primary study. Also, in YASINDO, we give them some training courses especially in cultural aspect, such as traditional dance in order to give them knowledge about how important to keep and empower our culture as a socio-cultural orientation. My positive experiences here have resulted in my desire to stay and study in United States for applying Master Degree’s Fulbright Program. Furthermore, my primary purpose to join in this program in order to develop my competence and skills, especially my major in Hasanuddin University namely Linguistics. By this program, I would like to take Anthropolinguistic as my specific major. Anthropology is one of my primary fields of interest because it studies about the social life and culture in the society, including cross-cultural communication and socio cultural orientation. In addition, Language is a media of communication to interact with social life in society. So, Anthropology and Linguistics cannot be separated each others. Also, it would allow me to get some new experiences and knowledge, particularly in culture aspects. My career aspirations absolutely have a strong influence in the next fifteen years after returning joined in this program. , I would like to apply my social contribution for society as a
