Ethical climate has been analyzed from the perspective of such dimensions as instrumental, caring, independence, law and rules and service (Martin and Cullen, 2006, 178; Peterson, 2002, 314) whereas political behavior has been discussed from the aspects of such dimensions as reason, friendliness, bargaining, assertiveness, coalitions and upward appeal. The questionnaire consists of items about demographic characteristics as well as Victor and CullenȂs Scale ǻŗşŞŞǼ for measuring ethical climate and Ringer and ‛ossȂs ǻŘŖŖŖǼ political behavior scale. The main hypothesis tested in the study is the relationship between the employeesȂ perceptions of ethical climate and that of political behavior. Other findings related to the study are the differences in employeesȂ perceptions of political behavior in their organization in relation to such demographic characteristics as gender, age, position and seniority. The participants of the study are composed of employees who work in banking organizations which has an important place in the market in Turkey. The findings of the study is important from one aspect that there is a lack of evidence and research in Turkey considering the relationship between employeesȂ perceptions of ethical climate and that of political behavior in their organization. The consequences of the study is also valuable since this study may guide managers to realize how their employees perceive ethical climate in their work place and how the perceptions of ethical climate can be related to the perceptions of political behavior.
