Muslim Speak - Ablution or Wudu? An analysis of discourse in Just Another Bedouin Victoria Girl ’s Blog Jeremy Ben Royston Boulter Abstract Do Muslims speak “bespoke” English as it should be? The British way “the Queen’s English”? Or does the English they use, even in a western environment, have an internal code of its own? In this study we explore by means of concordance and contextual analysis the meanings of ablution and recommended in the Muslim, rather than western sense. The investigation shows that indeed the referents of these terms are definitions external to English an Arabic lexicon.
