1 THE CATALYSE METHODOLOGY AND THE RESTORATION OF THE INQUIRY RESULTS IN THE ACTION RESEARCH. SEVERAL RECENT EXPERIMENTS IN THE ROMANIAN RURAL AREAS Mihai Pascaru 1 , Calina Butiu 2 “1 Decembrie 1918” University, Alba Iulia, Romania The essence of the Catalyse Methodology, developed by the Laboratory MTI@SHS with the University Franche-Comté in Besançon, is represented by the restoration of results as a method of shaping and putting into hierarchy the community problems in the local and regional areas. The sociological inquiries are just emerging stages for restoration, enabling the constitution of an information set, which will raise and trigger off debates within the community with the end of identifying and putting into hierarchy the real problems of community and with the end of community development as well. The paper intends to present some results obtained in the experiments in Romania, some limits discovered on this occasion and some deontological aspects noticed along the action research, by using the Catalyse Methodology, and restoring the results especially. Key words: Catalyse Methodology, restoration of results, action research 1. INTRODUCTORY REMARKS Among the different sociological disciplines, in particular in the sociology of the territorial organizations, the need to construct methodological frames, which involve the social actor more in his or her knowledge, has represented an increasing reason of academic research and investigational-practice. Within such a context, complex and exciting at the same time, the Catalyse Methodology has its own place. The Catalyse Methodology is developed by the Laboratory MTI@SHS with the University Franche-Comté in Besançon, France. The laboratory MTI, as it is currently called, reunites a team of interdisciplinary research ready to conceive, make up and transfer methods and instruments based on the application of computerized technology in the sciences of man and society. In 1997, we find MTI involved in two great projects: ARCHAEORES- the observation of the multi-regional and long-term archaeological and environmental dynamics- and CATALYSE- the evaluation and observation of local politics and dynamics in the socio- economical and cultural domains. CATALYSE will detach as methodology, developing methodological and instrumental solutions that exploit the principles of territorial intelligence defined by: 1) the participation of the actors, 2) the partnership of the operators, 3) the global approach and the quality and 4) accessibility of information. The essence of the Catalyse methodology is represented by the restoration of results as a means of shaping and putting in hierarchy the community problems in local and regional 1 mpascaru@email.ro 2 bcalina@yahoo.co.uk
