En un número apreciable de estados nacionales estallaron movimientos sociales y estudiantiles, protestas, discursos, arengas y repertorios de inconformidad social y política. Universidades, librerías, calles, teatros, cafés y otros lugares de reunión fueron el epicentro de esta revolución donde se discutió sobre la utopía libertaria, la justicia, la igualdad y tantas otras concepciones sobre la marcha de las sociedades. Este artículo es una aproximación al tema de la memoria cultural de la juventud en una época única en la historia de la cultura. Aún queda en deuda saber por qué y cómo esta juventud bebió de las fuentes de la revolución cultural mundial de la que habla Immanuel Wallerstein, cómo se interrelacionó con la comunidad global que estaba naciendo. Abstract As never before seen in the history of culture, in the sixties the world witnessed a revolution in habits, consumption and ideas about the evolution of society. In a considerable number of Colombian states, student and social movements, protests, discourses, speeches, and repertory of political and social nonconformity broke out. Universities, libraries, streets, theaters, cafes and other meeting places were the epicenters of this revolution in which libertarian utopia, justice, equality and many other topics about the progress of society were discussed. This article is an approximation to the theme of the cultural memory of the youth in that unique moment of cultural history. The doubt still remains about why and how this youth drank from the fountains of worldwide Cultural Revolution, as Immanuel Wallerstein says, and about how it interrelated with the global community that was being born.
