Fuentes para una reconstrucción histórica de la educación matemática en Venezuela* [ 33 ] Summary This article is a sampling of different kinds of sources that can be emplo- yed in the process of historical reconstruction of Mathematics Education in Venezuela, the sample consists of Memories, Records, Books of Abs- tracts, and Reports Academic Events; Supplies for the Evaluation of Gra- duate Studies in Mathematics Education in Venezuela Documents for a Historiography of Mathematics Education in Venezuela; Research on Textbooks Used in Teaching Mathematics in Venezuela; Documents Re- lated to Research in Mathematics Education in Venezuela; Bibliogra- phy Venezuelan Mathematics Education; Bulletin Board of the Venezue- lan Association for Mathematics Education (ASOVEMAT) and work involving the history of mathematics, both in Venezuela and worldwide. Like any sample, referred to in this work is incomplete, many other ma- terials are not included in the slogan here, but the elements that make up global gives an idea about the status of having reached Mathema- tics Education as a ield and a ield of academic practice in our country.
