ABOUT POETICS OF ARCHITECTURE by Maria Barbu INTRODUCTION Poetics is a field of knowledge, its cognitive side being enriched by fundamental emotional elements of personal living. Beyond what is meant by Poetics seen as an area of literary poetry itself, its skill being the analysis of stylistic subtle ways that create artistic beauty and sublime, our conception of poetics approaches the philosophy of culture and artistic creation as intellectual and psychological impact on human people. There are actually two different perspectives, first of all being poetics understood in terms of poetic vision of the imaginary universe of the artist ans second, poetics seen from the analytic perspective of the consumer of art, whose experiences enrich enormously the expressive universe of art. KEYWORDS: poetics, imagination, vision, feeling, expression, symbolism, aesthetics, conceptual levels, housing, art, poetry, architecture, human self. Poetics is, from the creative artist perspective, an exploration of the imagination, says Jean Burgos ("For a poetics of imagination", Romanian edition in 1988), paraphrasing great creators of poetry as Malllarme or Valery, but also an exceptional linguist as Roman Jakobson. Poetics becomes more and more an analysis of poetic language, structuring of the artistic intentions in relation with poetic 1
