POLÍTICA Y HUMANIDADES 1 FRANCISCO GARCÍA JURADO Universidad Complutense de Madrid Resumen: En el siglo XIX, la Historia de la literatura latina fue introducién- dose paulatinamente dentro de la enseñanza del latín frente a la tradicional Poé- tica. Primero lo hizo dentro de la asignatura de Perfección del latín, para ir constituyendo una materia independiente que terminaría prescindiendo de la en- señanza de la lengua latina propiamente dicha. At the beginning, it was part of the subject «Perfección del latín», but little by little it became an independent subject, that did not require the teaching of the Latin language itself.
