It involves a num- ber of tasks, including seeking and locating information, gathering and storing information, and creating and sharing information. Yet, a researchers process is nuanced, based on his or her dis- cipline, personal preference, technological systems, experience and other factors (Kuhlthau 1991, University of Minnesota (UM) Library Report 2006, Unsworth 2000, Wilson 2000, among others). The successful scholar utilizes the catalog, databases, and other library systems, navigates Interlibrary Loan, reference assistance and other library services, and employs citation management soft- ware and other tools effectively and efficiently.
